Terms of use
Effective 13 October 2026.
These terms govern access to Canadian Civic Review. By using the site, you agree to use its editorial material lawfully and understand that it does not provide an official decision or personalized advice.
1. Editorial information only
Articles, checklists and interactive source tools are general educational material. They do not determine eligibility, document validity, entry permission or the outcome of any application. Readers remain responsible for confirming current requirements with the relevant authority or qualified professional.
2. No government affiliation
The publication is not endorsed by or affiliated with the Government of Canada, Canadian immigration authorities, passport offices, border agencies or provincial governments. Government names and document references may be used only to explain where primary information should originate.
3. Permitted use
You may view, print or save reasonable portions for personal, non-commercial reference. You may link to a page when the link does not misrepresent sponsorship or endorsement. Republishing substantial text, branding, layout or image collections requires permission from the publication contact and any applicable rights holder.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Do not interfere with site operation or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not use the site to impersonate an authority or mislead another person.
- Do not remove attribution or present editorial illustrations as official evidence.

The newsroom aims to distinguish confirmed information from uncertainty, but editorial material may become incomplete or outdated. Pages may be corrected, reorganized or withdrawn without notice. Continuous availability is not guaranteed.
6. Third-party information
References to external authorities, carriers or publications are provided for context. Canadian Civic Review does not control their content, privacy practices or availability and does not adopt every statement found there.
7. Disclaimer and limitation
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided without warranties of completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted access. Canadian Civic Review is not responsible for decisions made solely from an unsupported caption, illustration or outdated page. Nothing here excludes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
